Hi all, I am originally from Clarkston MI, I had a career as a Firefighter/Paramedic prior to medical school at MSUCOM. I was a base student here and loved the program, I like sports, hunting/fishing and most outdoor activities.
I am Yvette! I grew up in Tampa, FL, doing the typical Florida things, going to the beach, being on the water, boating, fishing, and snorkeling. I graduated from AUC in St. Maarten. I have always lived in warm weather places so I am excited to experience my first winter in MIchigan. I chose Emergency Medicine because I love the fast pace environment and you have to be ready for anything that comes through the doors. When I am not working I love spending time with my husband, Stephen and our dog, Dottie.
My name is Erica Errigo. I grew up in Dearborn, Michigan. I attended the University of Michigan for my undergraduate education and I went to Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school. In my spare time, I enjoy playing golf, traveling, hiking, attending weekly boxing classes at Jabs gym, eating at new restaurants, and playing with my dog (or just dogs in general). I chose Emergency Medicine because I love working as team in order to tackle the organized chaos in the ED. I look forward to a future career in this amazing specialty!
My name is Gino Etta and I am from Detroit Michigan. I am a half full kind of guy and I like to smile. I also enjoy golfing, a lot. I love coming to work and I am grateful to be apart of such an amazing team.
We see and provide care for every human that comes through our doors, and That is what I love the most about emergency medicine.
Hi my name is Taylor and I’m from Des Moines, Iowa born and raised and all the way through medical school. After being in Iowa my whole life it was time to get out and see a little more of the world and Detroit was the perfect fit. The program at St. John was the perfect fit for me. Excellent training, great didactics and teaching, high volume and acuity of patients, plenty of opportunities for procedures, and awesome residents. I couldn’t envision myself anywhere else. Detroit is fantastic with tons of stuff to do. Great restaurants, bars, music venues, and four professional sports teams. I enjoy music, movies, sports, and trying new restaurants and foods.
Hi my name is Jake Tarnowski. I was born and raised in Minnesota and I like all the stereotypical Minnesota things like fishing, hockey, camping, my dog and the Vikings. I ended up in EM because of the challenge of seeing and managing anything that walks through the door.
I am Jenna Wonsowicz. I was born and raised in Warren, MI. I went to undergrad at University of Detroit Mercy and medical school at Michigan State. I love warm weather and for most of my vacations you will catch me at the beach. I also enjoy playing and watching sports.
I was born and raised in Florida, but spent the last half of my life in Metro Detroit. I returned to school later in life to fulfill a dream long overdue. I’m excited to begin my career in Emergency Medicine; we’re the jack-of-all-trades, adrenaline junkies of medicine, and I’m ecstatic I have the opportunity to train at Ascension to become the physician I want to be.
I enjoy picking things up and putting them down, cooking, travelling, and watching college sports. GO BLUE!!
